Jazmin Flores-Pena is a Research Assistant at the Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce. Jazmin works closely with Research Professor and Chief Economist, Nicole Smith, to help track media sources and job projections.

Jazmin has experience working in education. She was previously CEW’s Diversity Initiative Associate working to develop resources for educators to reduce the information gap on education and workforce demands for under-served students. Additionally, she has been a legislative intern tracking education policy and worked in a bilingual school in Columbia Heights helping Heritage learners and English Language learners develop literacy skills in both Spanish and English. She is passionate about education equity and promoting inclusion of minority and low-income children and youth in higher education institutions. Jazmin is a senior at Georgetown University majoring in Linguistics and minoring in Education, Inquiry, and Justice.
