Jazmin Flores-Pena is a Diversity Initiative Associate at the Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce. Jazmin works closely with the Staff Director to help develop resources for educators to reduce the information gap on education and workforce demands for underserved students. Additionally, Jazmin supervises and administers the youth internship.
Jazmin has experience working in the education. She has worked as a legislative intern tracking education policy and worked in a bilingual school in Columbia Heights helping Heritage learners and English Language learners develop literacy skills in both Spanish and English. Additionally Jazmin has worked with various educational programs that serve minority and low-income children and youth. She is passionate about education equity and promoting inclusion of minority and low-income children and youth in higher education institutions. Jazmin is a rising senior at Georgetown University majoring in Linguistics and minoring in Education, Inquiry, and Justice.
