Research Professor and Senior Economist
Ban Cheah
Ban Cheah is a research professor and senior economist at the Georgetown University Center on the Education and the Workforce (CEW). He serves as the center’s main programmer and analyzes data from the Census Bureau and the Bureau of Labor Statistics in support of the center’s research.
Before joining the center, Ban was a SAS programmer and systems analyst at Westat. During his tenure at Westat, he provided programming support for data collection, weighting, and analysis. He most recently worked on the evaluation of the Head Start program where he implemented impact analysis using software for complex survey data and multilevel models.
Ban received a BA from Colby College and a PhD from the University of Rochester.
