Zack Mabel is a research professor and the director of research at the Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce (CEW). He leads applied research projects at CEW to advance educational opportunity, equity, and economic mobility in the United States.
Zack has examined policy efforts to expand educational and economic opportunity for over 15 years. Over the course of his career, Zack’s work has been published in leading public policy and education journals, including the Journal of Policy Analysis and Management, Education Finance & Policy, and Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis. His work has also been featured in major media outlets such as the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, and NPR. Before joining CEW, Zack worked most recently as a policy research scientist at the College Board.
Zack earned his BA from Brandeis University, MPP from the University of Michigan, and EdD in quantitative policy analysis of education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
