Authoritarian populism has been on the rise globally
The Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce released a new report, in collaboration with Lenka Dražanová of the European University Institute, that explores the role of higher education in safeguarding democracy from the threat of authoritarianism. The Role of Education in Taming Authoritarian Attitudes finds that higher education—especially in the liberal arts—can mitigate authoritarian tendencies.
