NPR interviews Carnevale on Union Membership Drop

NPR “All Things Considered” program’s Robert Siegel interviewed CEW director Anthony Carnevale on January 24, to discuss the 97-year low union membership rate. Today only 11.3 percent of workers hold a union membership. Carnevale says the federal government has replaced the labor union for many American workers, in pushing for health and safety regulations, minimum wage legislation and equal pay.
